Bringing people together - that's what we do.

If you haven’t noticed by now, we are obsessed with bringing people together.
At this point you’re probably wondering why – and if that’s the case here is our story.

It all began when I decided to join the military straight after high school. At that time, I was dating (and now married to) the love of my life, Lauren. However, being gone all the time was anything but easy.

Being in the military, you would think that the hardest parts is putting up with the constant yelling, physical requirements, and mental games. Wrong. Dead wrong. In fact, it was a much deeper challenge on the emotional level. Coming back from a rough day and being separated from those you love most, wondering if your choice was worth anything – was absolutely the hardest part.

Don’t get me wrong – looking back joining the military was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I even encourage others to join. However, I always explain it this way – you will gain great prosperity, but at the cost of much pain. Everything costs something.

This trend of constantly being gone spanned over the course of 7 years. I was either away training in the military, away for college, or deployed.

After the 7 year stretch I finally finished college, my military contract, got married and was able to settle down. I immediately found a 9-5 job at a great company, and Lauren worked nights elsewhere. However there was one problem – we still felt like we never saw each other, as I would come home from work and Lauren would be leaving.

It’s not the way I wanted to live, it’s not the way WE wanted to live – and listen to this – NO ONE has to live that way if they don’t want to! You simply have to think of a plan to get out and execute. Quipley is our solution to that problem, striving toward a purpose we deeply care about, for ourselves and for others.
